2011

I am skipping ahead. We didn't do that grat on our "something everyday Christmas adventure", so I'm sure I will try again next year. SO, that being said, I am moving on to 2011.

I am already behind on my "wishes" for 2011. I call them "wishes" because I still haven't written them down, so as of right now they are still "wishes". Going to work on that one, but in the mean time I'm going to use this blog as a way to change my "wishes" into goals. I would much rather type than write.

So here we go...

Like about 90% of the people in the world, I am writing down "lose wieght" as one of my goals. I know, I know, how cliche can I be? BUT, I really, really need to lose weight. I had some health issues in 2010 and know that if I don't make some changes, then 2011 will be worse than 2010. Is this just for looks? No, not totally, but does the thought of wearing something that doesn't resemble a tent appeal to me? You bet it does! I guess health does come in there somewhere, but if I am totally honest with myself is really is mostly about how I look. I don't want to look like a moose anymore. My face is HUGE! I have never been this fat before and I have to say I'm not digging it! SO, here comes the scary part. I am going to actually put down a number...I am going to loose 55 pounds by December 31, 2011. There it is. Written down. Set in stone.

December 3

So here we are at December 3rd already!
Where have the days gone?

So for our December 3rd activity, we decided to go to the annual tree lighting ceremony in downtown Idaho Falls AND the boys got new winter hats! Lucky for us, the festivities are held in the park that is just up the street from where I work. My mom brought Jordan and Mason up to my work with the intent that we would all just walk from my office to the park and join in the fun. Well, they did things a little different this year than they normally do and long story short, we totally missed the tree lighting ceremony. We got to see the lights and decorations, we just didn't get to see them turn on for the first time of the season. No biggie! So we went down and walked around and looked at the decorated tress and of course, took some pictures.

It was a good night and we all had a fun time. Maybe next year we'll get to see them flip the switch.

December 2nd

I took my very frist trip to Starbucks Coffee tonight, and seriously I had the most expensive cup of hot chocolate in my entire life! Was is good? Absolutely! Was it worth the $3.97 I paid for it? Well...it WAS really good, and it WAS really pepperminty, but not sure that I would do it again.

But here's the REAL reason that I went there...

After looking online at all the December Daily albums that people were posting, I saw the CUTEST pastry bag thing that they said they got from Starbucks! It has a reindeer with ornaments on his antlers and above it it says this,

"Stories are gifts. Share."

Seriously? So were the owners of Starbucks trying to target the scrapbook community this year? Did they decide they needed a few more customers or something? Holy cow! Could it be any more perfect for scrapbooking? I think not! So anyway, I had to go get my decadent (and expensive) hot chocolate so that I could get my scrapbooking fix!

Thanks Starbucks! Merry Christmas!

December 1, 2010

So December 1st came and I had such good itentions of having things ready to go for our "24 Days of Christmas" where the plan is to have something to do or to get something everyday from December 1st to December 24th. Well...guess what? I was not ready AGAIN this year! While I was driving home from work I was thinking to myself how mad I was that I wasn't ready AGAIN! I have tried to do this for probably the last 3 years and it HAS NEVER HAPPENED! I do good for a little bit (meaning I come up with something at the last moment) and then it kind of dies out. I always feel bad and vow to make it happen the next year. Anyway, so I got home on December 1st with nothing planned and nothing ready to go, feeling sad about the whole thing. I didn't say anything about it to Jordan and Mason because I didn't want them to be sad or disappointed either. But out of the blue, Jordan sneakily gets a movie out of the cabinet and turns it on. He says, "We're going to watch this tonight." IT WAS ELF! He turned on ELF! That is probably my most favorite Christmas movie! So guess what?! I counted it as day number 1 in our Christmas adventure! Guess I better kick it in gear! Maybe I can make this happen this year! (cross your fingers!)
